The Johnstown Galleria is a two-level, enclosed super-regional shopping mall in Richland Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, southeast of the city of Johnstown.
History
Opened in 1992, the mall currently includes Boscov's and JCPenney as anchor tenants and over 100 retailers such as American Eagle Outfitters, Books-A-Million, Champs Sports, Crazy 8, Justice, Sephora and Yankee Candle Company. With over 894,646 square feet (83,120 m2) of retail space, the mall is one of the largest shopping complexes in west-central Pennsylvania. Surrounding the mall are over 20 retailers and dining establishments that complete the mall complex.
The mall is owned by Gemini Real Estate Advisors of New York and operated by Zamias Services of Johnstown. It is located off the Galleria Drive exit of U.S. Route 219 in Richland Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania near the interchange of Pennsylvania Route 56.
On January 31, 2018, it was announced that The Bon-Ton would be closing 42 stores nationwide including The Johnstown Galleria store. On April 18, 2018, it was announced that the entire Bon-Ton store chain would be going out of business due to bankruptcy and inability to find a buyer.[1]
On April 26, 2018, it was announced that Sears would also be closing in August 2018.[2]
