The Invisible Avenger (透明人間 Tōmei ningen, lit. Invisible Man) is a 1954 Japanese film directed by Motoyoshi Oda. The film is a loose adaptation of the H.G. Wells story The Invisible Man.[1]
The film was moderately successful, but was overshadowed by the huge crossover success of Godzilla, earlier in 1954.

Daiei Film produced two similar films featuring invisibility, Tomei ningen arawaru (The Transparent Man) in 1949, and Tomei ningen to Hai-Otoko (Transparent Man vs the Fly-Man) in 1957.[4]
