The Floow Limited is a global Telematics company headquartered in Sheffield UK. The company was formed in 2012 and branded from the flow (psychology) state of mind as propossed by Mihaly Csikszentmihályi. It operates near to the Sheffield City Region centre and the River Don, South Yorkshire. The Floow are producers of mass market applications of Internet of Things technology in Usage-based insurance and is a 2016 recipient of the highest UK business award, the Queen's Awards for Enterprise for Innovation.[1] The Floow is also reported[2] as one of the UK's four highest growth tech firms, and was part of the "future-fifty" list.

In early 2017 The Floow received a £13million investment to further expand its insurance and automotive commercial operations and speed up growth. This investment was highlighted alongside McLaren, and Boeing by Theresa May the UK Prime minister as the highlight of the Sheffield City Region's growing technology heart.[3] Despite investment The Floow remains majority owned by its management team and continues to invest in Innovation of new technology. The company is involved in collaborative research in the areas of pollution, transport, smart cities and driverless cars.
