Plot summary

The novel is a tale of a group of youngsters caught by the spell of the Polish double-barrelled lead character Mischa Fox - the enchanter. They select him to be their god. But he has an alter ego, the fearsome Calvin Blick who complicates things. Rosa Keepe is torn between the two alter egos, and between common sense and dangerous enchantment. The adventurous Annette drops out of school to learn from real life, but gets in over her head, and Peter can't stop obsessing about an ancient script.[1]
