The Circus of Horrors is a British circus show.[1] First seen performed at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995.[2] Blending Horror and Burlesque with Bizarre and unbelievable acts, The show uses Goth and steampunk imagery, and references burlesque and Victorian freak shows.[3] It was semi-finalist in Britain's Got Talent in 2011.[4]

The Circus of Horrors was created by John (Dr) Haze and started its gruesome beginnings at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and became an instant hit, touring all over the world from Chile to Chatham, Argentina to Aberdeen, Japan to Jersey including festival appearances with Alice Cooper, Eminem, Motley Crue, Oasis, Iron Maiden, The Manic St Preachers, Foo Fighters, Rammstein and many more.

The Circus of Horrors is currently part way through its UK tour, taking in around 100 theatres, the hugely successful for the show, performing in more Theatres than virtually any other show, featured in huge music festivals around the world and once again becoming front page news.

The brand new show, Voodoo includes an amazing amalgamation of bizarre, brave & beautiful acts, a rock n roll soundscape of mainly original songs & performed with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek.

2018 will be a huge time for Circus as we celebrate 250 years since its birth in London. the brainchild of Sergeant Major Philip Astley, the father of modern circus. Astley's vision & invention went on to become a major art form throughout the world.

However, circus has changed more in the past 30 years than in its proud 250-year history, with the emergence of Cirque Du Soleil, Circus Archaos & from the UK The Circus of Horrors.

It is certain that 'Circus', will receive a huge amount of publicity during 2018 and The Circus of Horrors being the UK's front-runner in contemporary circus is sure to feature heavily in this publicity & a perfect time to bring this unique show to your venue.

In addition to the 100 venue UK theatre tour they have recently performed in Festivals throughout the World including Download Festival, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Isle of White Festival, 'T in the Park' etc, in the UK, Fuji Rock Festival in Japan (twice), Wacken festival in Germany plus shows in Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Belgium, Argentina, France, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Hong Kong and Moscow where it created history by becoming the 1st UK Circus ever to perform in Russia. And an astounding 10 nights in London's O2.

It is not the 1st time however that The Circus of Horrors has created history, it became the only circus ever to reach the finals of Britains Got Talent and the 1st Circus to perform in London's West End for over 100 years, & the only Circus to perform in a single venue in London (The Roundhouse) for an astounding 24 weeks, (previous record was 17 weeks).

In addition to BGT the appearances on various other TV shows have turned what set out as a cult show into a household name, without compromise – taking the extreme to the mainstream, Its TV credits now also boast The X Factor, The Slammer, Daybreak, Fairground Attractions, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Fake Reaction, This Morning, Ant & Dec, The One Show & A Royal Command Performance.
