During the renaissance festival period, the site features 15 stages over 30 acres plus 40 acres of parking.[3] It is set in 1569 during the reign of Elizabeth I. Its main feature is Castleton Village, a 13-acre area where the majority of merchants reside. The Halloween festival resides in Castleton Village and hosts 11 attractions.[4] It also hosts the Castle Zombie Run held annually in September.[5] The Boares Head Feast occurs in November and provides a four-course meal as well as entertainment.[6] Castle Christmas takes place in the castle grounds and provides a light display with over 2,000 lights.[7] The area also sells fireworks during the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve holiday seasons.[8]
