The Brazen Bull is a 2011 American thriller/horror released on July 13, 2011. It was written, directed, and produced by Douglas Elford-Argent. It stars Jennifer Tisdale as the main role and Michael Madsen as the killer. It was released on DVD on September 2, 2011.[1]

Plot

An ice cold tale of misguided ambition and savage revenge. Set in the bowels of an iconic derelict Los Angeles high-rise, we follow Lauren and her real-estate investing fiancé as they discover first hand what happens when a madman leads not with emotion, but rather chilling rationality. The Man in question brings a heaping helping of sanity and jet-black humor to the crazy table. The result is a wonderfully off-kilter horror/thriller that never goes where we expect, but rather draws the audience deeper into a surprising world that has dark corners even in the brightest rooms.[2]

Critical reception

Rotten Tomatoes give the film 33% saying that the script and acting were normal and there weren't much scary bits for it to be a thriller.[3] The film overall got a review of 3.5/10 saying that the good thing about this film is that Michael Madsen plays a good killer role as he does in all his movies. Head of Virgil Productions said, "Its very much your typical revenge story taken to a more sinister blood spraying level. Madsens character of the absolute Psycho takes me back to his Reservoir Dogs days. The movie has its moment, Rachel Hunters performance could have used a bit more work, accent was slipping in and out from American to Kiwi. Loved the level of gore, The fact its all filmed in one location makes it an easy watch and keeps your attention. Michael Madsen continues to impress me with his awesome roles, I'll never stop admiring his work."
