The Big Painting Challenge is a television programme first broadcast on BBC Two on 22 February 2015. It is a contest in the style of The Great British Bake Off but with the craft of painting rather than baking.[1]

Series 1

Una Stubbs and Richard Bacon hosted the first series, with Daphne Todd and Lachlan Goudie judging.

Series 2

The second series came with two new presenters, Richard Coles and Mariella Frostrup, with judges Daphne Todd and Lachlan Goudie joined by David Dibosa. Diana Ali and Pascal Anson joined the programme as mentors to the painters.

Series 3

Richard Coles and Mariella Frostrup returned as presenters, with Daphne Todd and Lachlan Goudie returning as judges, without David Dibosa. Diana Ali and Pascal Anson returned as mentors. In week 2, Fraser Scaarfe was a guest judge in Lachlan's place.
