The Balme Library established in 1948 is located on the main campus of the University of Ghana.[1] The Balme Librabry was named after David Mowbray Balme the first Principal of University of Ghana The Balme Library in addition to various libraries in Schools, Institutes, Faculties, Departments and Halls of Residence of the University, most of which are autonomous, forms the University's Library System.[1]
