The Amityville Asylum is a 2013 direct-to-video horror film. It was written, produced and directed by Andrew Jones and stars Sophia Del Pizzo, Sarah Louise Madison and Eileen Daly. It was released on June 3, 2013 and released to DVD on October 2, 2013.[3] The film was released in Germany in 2013 on Blu-ray and DVD by Paragon as The Nesting 2: Amityville Asylum.

It is the eleventh film based on the Amityville horror.

Plot

Lisa Templeton begins a new job as a cleaner at High Hopes Hospital, a mental institution in Amityville, Long Island. Initially delighted to get the job, Lisa soon realises that all is not as it seems. Intimidated by staff and the psychotic ramblings of the patients, she is further unnerved by apparent super natural occurrences on the night shift. To preserve her sanity, Lisa must uncover the mysterious history of the institution and its inmates. But the truth is far more terrifying than she could ever imagine.[4]
