Tevrakar castle

Tevrakar castle, located in Armenia's Tavush Region, belonging to the village Tevrakar Getahovit place.[1]

Castle was discovered by Hakob Simonyan and Simon Hmayakyan in September 2006. The examination of material collected overhead castle dated in BC 7-5 centuries.[1]

The castle is not placed high, impregnable on three sides rocks. Hill in south attached to brick, now ruined wall. Opened with approximate dimensions of bricks meet urartakannerin.

Southwest side during construction of the wall built or opened in the limestone wall. Tevrakar castle is the only one in the region, which is accessible huge brick.
