Teva Harrison
Teva Harrison is a Canadian writer and graphic artist. She was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at age 37, and began to document her experiences with the terminal illness using illustrations and essays.[1] Her works were compiled into a graphic novel called In-Between Days.[2] The book was a finalist for the 2016 Governor General's Award for English-language non-fiction,[3] and put Harrison on the list of 16 Torontonians to Watch.[4]
She has written for The Walrus[5] and has been featured in the Globe and Mail,[6] Creative Mornings,[7] HuffPost Canada,[8][9] Kirkus Reviews,[10] The New York Times,[11][12] and WNYC.[13] She has also spoken on CBC Radio about her experience.[14][15]
