Tetramorium renae is an ant in the family Formicidae. It is found on São Tomé Island off the western equatorial coast of Central Africa in elevations from 1200 to 1500 m.[1]
They are founded in the south and west of the island especially in Obo Natural Park as well as many parts of the island. The species was first described in Bom Successo and Lagoa Amélia and was named in 2010 by Hita Garcia, Fischer & Peters. The new species is dedicated to Rena Denzer from Bonn, Germany, for her enduring support[2].
