Testechiniscus is a genus of tardigrades in the family Echiniscidae[1] The genus are one of four being the ninth oldest in the family Echiniscidae and was one of four genera named and described by Reinhardt Møbjerg Kristensen in 1987. Its etymology is from the testus, a Latin wort and Echiniscus.

Species

According to Degma, Bertolani and Guidetti (2013),[1] this genus includes four species:

  • Testechiniscus laterculus (Schuster, Grigarick & Toftner, 1980)
  • Testechiniscus macronyx (Richters, 1907)
  • Testechiniscus meridionalis (Murray, 1906)
  • Testechiniscus spitsbergensis (Scourfield, 1897)
