Terra Santa Agro is a publicly traded Brazilian agribusiness company founded in 2003 in Rio de Janeiro as Brasil Ecodiesel, a biodiesel producer. In 2011, after the merger with Maeda Agroindustrial and Vanguarda Participações, the company changed its name to Vanguarda Agro and moved its headquarters to Nova Mutum in Mato Grosso.[1] Vanguarda Agro has approximately 254 thousand of hectares of land divided into 13 production units in five Brazilian states. It is the largest private land holder in the country.
