Travis Walton, professionally known as Teddy Walton, was born July 30, 1992 in Memphis, Tennessee.[1] Teddy is an American composer, producer, songwriter and dj. He began music production by creating songs with his older brother, rapper June, eventually releasing a project titled "EVOL"[2] He later went on to release a series of EP's on Soundcloud,[3] "Girls Night Out",[4] "Nights", and "The After Party",[5] which gained him recognition and the start of his online presence. Teddy has worked with several artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Bryson Tiller, ASAP Rocky, Nipsey Hussle, Schoolboy Q, Freddie Gibbs, GoldLink, Maxo Kream, Vince Staples, ASAP Ferg, and Big K.R.I.T.. He is currently working on his album, "Tokyo Highway", due later in 2017. Teddy has developed his own genre of music blending trap, R&B, and hip-hop, with influences from Three 6 Mafia, Tame Impala, and SWV.[6]

Music career

Teddy's first experience with music production and writing was with his older brother, June.[7] Together, they created a new genre of music called "Urban Epic". Primarily blending hip-hop production with throwback R&B sounds and samples. They released an album titled "Evol" in 2012,[8] and followed it up in 2013 with the single "Big Pimpin" featuring Big KRIT.[9] The brothers went on to join Joey Badass and Ab-Soul on the Smoker's Club Tour 2013 in promotion of the single.

Teddy's first major label placement came with the standout track off of A$AP Rocky's latest album A.L.L.A., "Electric Body" featuring ScHoolboy Q.[10] The track peaked at #80 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart[11] and #27 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In September 2015 the song was performed by A$AP Rocky and ScHoolboy Q on Jimmy Kimmel Live![12] Other notable live performances include Wireless Festival 2015, Camp Flog Gnaw 2015, and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2016.

Teddy's most notable placement comes on Kendrick Lamar's, "Love", featured on his new album Damn (Kendrick Lamar album).[13]

He also has placements on Bryson Tiller's upcoming album True To Self[14], and Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap album.
