Founded in May 2014, the channel's web portal was officially launched in Dec 2014[1] and can be accessed via www.techstorm.tv.[2]

The channel is slated to be launched in Singapore by the first quarter of 2016.

Overview

Tech Storm was founded by Singapore-based two-time technology [3] entrepreneur Debbie Lee[4] in May 2014 when she noticed a gaping hole in the market - the lack of a dedicated platform on simplified technology for the masses and the absence of a go-to mass media for entrepreneurs to connect with the public. The company hence sought to bridge the gap by introducing its channel for digital lifestyle infotainment where it would provide a go-to voice for start-ups and entrepreneurs to amplify their creations.

The company is first in Singapore to partner with Nanyang Technological University in adopting its proprietary automatic content recognition (ACR) technology[5] that allows users to interact between mobile devices and larger screens.[6]

In April 2015, former chief technology officer of Singapore Telecommunications’ (Singtel) L!feLabs Lee Lup Yuen was appointed as Tech Storm's technology advisor.[7]

This company was the Finalist in Best Innovative Start-up (Early Stage) 2016 category in the SiTF Awards[8] held in Singapore. December 2016, the company exhibited at Asian TV Forum 2016[9] announcing their launch of Tech Storm as the Entrepreneur TV.[10]

A press[11] announcement was made in April 2017 with Aladdin Street group to bring the company's content on tech gadgets on to the Aladdin Street's website and products selected by Tech Storm to be sold there.
