Tastefully Simple is an American multi-level marketing company that sells food products.[1][2]

Products are offered through a network of more than 13,000 independent commissioned distributors, as well as through the company's website. As of 2014, the company employed roughly 200 people at its corporate headquarters in Alexandria, Minnesota.[3]

History

The company was founded by Jill Blashack Strahan in 1995. It first operated out of a small shed in Minnesota.

On July 8, 2014 the company laid off approximately 25% of its workforce.[3]

The company is a member of the Direct Selling Association.[4]

Awards

In 2000, Strahan was named an Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year for the Minnesota and Dakota region.[5] In 2005, the company was included in the Inc. magazine 500 Hall of Fame list for making the Inc. 500 list five times.[6] In 2010 the company was ranked at number 4603 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S..[7]
