Tariqul Islam is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former government minister.

Career

Tariqul is a standing committee member of Bangladesh Nationalist Party.[1] He served as the Minister of Information in the Second Khaleda Cabinet.[2][3] He also served as the Minister of Forest and the Environment. On 30 November 2017 he was charged with corruption related to the sell of forest trees during his term as the Minister of Forests.[4] Studied · B.Sc in Information and Communication engineering at East West University

Personal life

Tariqul has a son Anindyo Islam Amit. On 24 October 2017 he was flown to Singapore for treatment.[5] Anindyo Islam Amit is an assistant organising secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party.[6]
