Tanzania Hockey Association
The Tanzania Hockey Association, also known as Twende Hockey Foundation, is the governing body of field hockey in Tanzania. It is affiliated to IHF International Hockey Federation and AHF African Hockey Federation.[1]
History
Tanzania had a good history playing Field Hockey. Then there was a time when their Field Hockey started collapsing. But it is revealing again. Click here to access a few pictures depicting old history of Field Hockey in Tanzania.
Tanzania men's hockey played in the 1980 Summer Olympics at Moscow. They played 5 Round-robin matches and lost all of them.
In 2015, Tanzania sent men's and women's Hockey Teams for All African Olympic Qualifiers for 2016 Rio.[2]
