The Tanaoceridae[2] are a monotypic insect family in the Tanaoceroidea, which is a superfamily in the Orthoptera: Caelifera. They have been called "desert long-horned grasshoppers".[3]

Genera and distribution

According to Catalogue of Life, the Tanaoceridae have two genera:[2]

They can be found in western Mexico and the south-west of the United States.
