Takam Pario

Takam Pario is an Indian politician who currently serves as the Leader of Opposition in Arunachal Pradesh.[1] His real name is Takam Tagar but is affectionately called Pario. He is a member of Indian National Congress .

Takam Pario was elected unopposed from Palin constituency in the 2014 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, standing as a INC candidate.[1][2][3]

On 30 December 2016, Pema Khandu was suspended from the primary membership of the People's Party of Arunachal by the party president and Takam Pario was named as the next likely Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh replacing Pema Khandu after suspended Pema Khandu along with 6 other MLAs. For the election held in 2009 and 2014, Takam Pario stood as the richest candidate for election to the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly with total assets of 200 crore in the property and 100 crore in Account .
