Taiwan Asia Exchange Foundation

Taiwan Asia Exchange Foundation is a policy based think tank, established in Taiwan by Professor Michael Hsiao, which focuses on the New Southbound Policy to connect Taiwan with 10 ASEAN countries and 6 South Asia countries and Australia and New Zealand in three domains including: think tank interaction, Non-governmental organization cooperation and civil society young leaders' cooperations between Taiwan and other countries.[1][2]

Missions

  • Support New Southbound Policy of Taiwan
  • Organize annual Yushan Forum for regional dialogue of think tanks, NGO, and young leaders between Taiwan and ASEAN, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand
  • Connect New Southbound Policy to the countries in Indo-Pacific region

Funding

The Taiwan Asia Exchange Foundation is funded by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, started on June 1, 2018.[3]
