Ta-lin Hsu

Ta-lin Hsu is Chairman and founder of H&Q Asia Pacific, an Asian private equity firm.[1] Hsu joined Hambrecht & Quist Group in 1985 as a general partner and founded H&Q Asia Pacific in 1987 before its independent incorporation in 1990.

In 2008, Hsu was ranked on Forbes' Midas List of Top 35 best dealmakers in high-tech and life sciences.[2] In 2008 he again made the list, ranked 28th.[3]

He earned a B.S. degree in Physics from the National Taiwan University, an M.S. degree in Electro physics from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.[4]

Hsu is formerly the as Chairman of the Board for Give2Asia, and currently its Chairman Emeritus, which strengthens communities throughout Asia by building trusted networks for charitable investment.[5] Hsu also serves on the board of One, Inc. Systems, a cloud-based insurance software company.
