Tà Lài is a [2] in the province of Đồng Nai; most residents belong to the Ma and X'tieng ethnic minorities, who were re-settled after the formation of Cat Tien National Park.

Maps that pre-date 1975 indicate a civilian settlement (now ấp 3) to the south-east of the Đồng Nai river and is presently the administrative centre;[3] a military camp in the northern area now constitutes the minority village. In 2005 a suspension bridge was built to facilitate trade between Ta Lai and the rest of the province, but this fell down in 2016[4] and the village is presently served by a river ferry.
