Synophis calamitus is a species of snake of the family Colubridae.

Geographic range

The snake is found in Ecuador.

Description

The holotype of Synophis calamitus, a juvenile female, measured 223 mm, with a tail of 74 mm. This specimen had a black back and iridescent sides.[1]
