Syeda Falak

Syeda Falak was born on 22 April 1994 in Hyderabad, India.[1] Falak is a karate athlete representing India at World Karate Championships and Asian Karate Championships.She is the first and only Telanganite to have been qualified to represent India at the World Karate Championship and also the first Telanganite to win the Senior National Karate Championship.She has won multiple titles at International and National Level. Representing India at the US Open Karate Championship 2016, Falak Won a Gold Medal in the competition.

She is known as Hyderabadi Golden Girl. On 2 June 2016 During the Celebrations of Telangana Formation Day, Telangana Chief Minister KCR gave Rs 50 Lakh Cash award to Falak for her achievements in International Tournaments.

On 13 November 2016 Falak defeated B. Kannangara of Sri Lanka by 8-0 scoreline in the final in Indo Sri Lanka Open Karate Championship 2016 which was held at shimoga, Karnataka.[2][3]

Early life

Born in Hyderabad to Syed Shah Majaz Ul Haq,Falak is a Graduate of Bachelor of political science from Villa Marie Degree College, Hyderabad.[2][3] Syeda Falak started learning Karate at the age of 12 years when Karate Classes were introduced in her school.

After detail enquiry made by Telangana Governament, it was found that Syeda Falak has not won any medal in USA Open 2017. She lost in first round. Karate Association of India General Secretary Shihan Bharat Sharma has confirmed that she was given medal in an event where there are no competitors. [1]
