Syed Abdul Malik (1919–2000) was a notable writer of Assamese literature, from the village of Nahoroni in Golaghat. He was a president of Asam Sahitya Sabha.

Malik received many prizes, including Padmashri, Padma Bhusan,[2] Sahitya Akademi Award,[3] Sankar Dev Award, Xahityacharyya, etc.[4] Malik won Sahitya Akademi Award in 1972 for his novel Aghari Atmar Kahini (Tale of a Nomadic Soul).
