Swords and Sceptres
Swords and Sceptres : The Rani of Jhansi is an upcoming period drama film on the 1857 Indian Rebellion against the British East India Company.[1] The film has been co-written, produced and directed by Swati Bhise, with Charles Salmon as co-producer.[2] Devika Bhise, who also co-wrote the script, will play the lead role of Rani Lakshmibai.
In November 2017, Rupert Everett and Derek Jacobi joined the cast.[1]
Principal photography was completed in December 2017.[2]
