Swisse is an Australian vitamin, supplement, and personal care product company. Its Managing Director is, since 2016, Oliver Horn.[1] In September 2015, 86% of the company was bought by Hong Kong-listed Chinese company H&H Group for $1.67 billion AUD.[2][3] Measured by sales, it is Australia's top multivitamin brand, and its products are available internationally.[4]

Products

Swisse started as a company which sold vitamins; since then the company has expanded its range with providing such products as supplements,[5] skincare products,[6] and sports nutrition products.[7]

in 2013 the Australian Broadcasting Corporation was sued by the father of former CEO Radek Sali, Avni Sali for defamation over a The Checkout segment on Swisse products which claimed that he manipulated clinical tests of a Swisse appetite suppressant to benefit the company.[8] The ABC initially stood by the segment,[9] but the case was eventually settled out of court.[10]

Spokespeople

Spokespeople for the company have included Ricky Ponting, Nicole Kidman, George Calombaris, and Ashley Hart.[11] Fan Bingbing served as Swisse's Chinese brand ambassador before she was suspended due to her 2018 tax evasion scandal.[12]
