Swirve.com was a website offering browser-based games. Two of its products were Utopia and Earth 2025. The site won the People's Voice Webby Award in the Games category in 2002 and 2003.[1][2]

History

It was founded in 1996 as Solaria Games by Mehul Patel, author of the Bulletin Board System games Barren Realms Elite and Falcon's Eye. It was subsequently renamed Solaria Interactive later that year and in 1999, rebranded as Echelon Entertainment. Echelon's services included a then popular message board system that by 2001 included over 500 free user created forums.[3] In May 2000, Echelon Entertainment was renamed Swirve.com to appeal to a broader audience, providing into other services such as email and horoscopes. At its peak, Swirve.com hosted a variety of services including Fantasy Sports games and E-Cards.

In 2008, Swirve was acquired by Jolt Online Gaming.
