Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar

Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar also called Balubhau Dhanorkar is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Warora Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Shiv Sena.[1] He had unsuccessfully contested elections for the same seat in 2009, losing by a narrow margin to Sanjay Deotale of the Indian National Congress whose victory gave him his fourth term.[2]

Controversy

Dhanorkar along with Sada Sarvankar, also of the Shiva Sena and Member of Legislative Assmebly from Mahim had the maximum number of criminal cases pending against him amongst the 288 members of 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, as declared in the affidavit submitted by him to the Election Commission of India.[3] In September, 2012, Dhanorkar was externed from Chandrapur and its neighbouring districts: Nagpur, Wardha, Yavatmal, Gadchiroli and Gondia purported as an action against his alleged criminal activities.[4]

On 1 February 2016, Dhanorkar was arrested for threatening a patwari handling a case involving illegal excavation of sand.[5] < suresh bhau>
