Supreme Council of Armenia

The Supreme Council of Armenia was a governing body for Armenian territory in the Soviet Union, the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, and for the independent Republic of Armenia until 1995 when it was superseded by the National Assembly (Armenia), with the adoption of the Armenian Constitution.

The Supreme Council was preceded by the Armenian National Council (1917-1918) and then a Khorhurd (legislature), before becoming part of the Soviet Union in 1920.
