Suparno Satpathy

Suparno Satpathy is a highly respected socio-political leader from the state of Odisha in India. He is the great grandson of Kalindi Charan Panigrahi and the grandson of Nandini Satpathy

Suparno Satpathy is the Chairman of Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT), a leading non-profit organisation of India working for social causes. From 2007 till 2012 he held the office of Convenor PMYSA-Orissa, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India.

He was a part of the Indian National Congress party from Dec 2006 till 21 March 2014. He joined Aama Odisha Party a day after resigning from the Congress. Suparno Satpathy unsuccessfully contested for Member of Parliament in the 2014 Indian general election from Dhenkanal (Lok Sabha constituency). On 7 March 2018 Aama Odisha Party had a merger with Biju Janata Dal

Suparno Satpathy is a lead member in the movement for declassification of Netaji Files. The files which shall lead to the unveiling of the mystery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. On 23 Jan 2016 Narendra Modi became the first PM of India to declassify 100 Netaji Files. Many more files are still in the process of declassification till the full truth about Netaji is revealed to general public.

Shri. Suparno Satpathy is a popular columnist specialized in socio-political and environmental issues.[1][2]
