Strongroom is a 1961 British crime drama film directed by Vernon Sewell and starring Derren Nesbitt, Colin Gordon and Ann Lynn. The screenplay concerns a group of criminals who lock a bank manager and a cashier in a safe during a robbery.

Premise

During a bank robbery, the manager and cashier are locked in a safe, but the criminals are compelled to return to the premises to release them before the police arrive.[1][2]

The Radio Times wrote, "director Vernon Sewell sets up this improbable story quite neatly, but it's hardly breathless entertainment."[3] TV Guide noted "a suspenseful, taut crime drama."[4]
