Steve Wieberg
Steve Wieberg was a member of the initial College Football Playoff selection committee (2014-2018)[1] and a writer/editor in the public affairs department of the Kansas City, Mo. Public Library. He was a USA Today college football reporter for 30 years.
A native of Martinsburg, MO., he is a graduate of Community R-6 High School.
Wieberg was inducted into the United States Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame in 2008. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism in 1980. Prior to joining the founding staff at USA Today, he worked as a sports reporter at the Mexico (Mo.) Ledger and the Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader.
