Steve Cook (skier)

Steve Cook is a retired disabled athlete who has won medals at the Paralympic Games.

Life and career

In 1988 he lost his right-leg below the knee in a farm accident. He first got into biking and was at the Summer 1996 Summer Paralympics for road cycling. He later switched to Nordic skiing and went on to win four silver medals at the 2002 Winter Paralympics, the overall World Cup title in 2005 and two gold medals in the 2006 Winter Paralympics. In 2007 he announced his retirement.[1]
