Steve "Iron" Maden (born 13 September 1982) is a former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Leigh Centurions in the Co-Operative Championship.[1][2][3] He was born in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Greater Manchester.

Maden generally plays as a wing but can also play fullback or centre.[4]

Maden began his career in the academy at Leigh before moving to Warrington, and St. Helens. Maden moved to Leigh in 2004 and was part of the side that won promotion to Super League, although injury ruled him out of the Grand Final victory over Whitehaven.

Maden featured during Leigh's only Super League campaign in 2005 before joining Whitehaven for a two-year spell.

Maden returned to Leigh for the 2008 season and has remained there ever since, appearing mainly on the wing but also playing as a centre or fullback.
