Stenandriopsis is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Acanthaceae. The species name is Stenandriopsis thomensis, it is a herbaceous plant founded in the island of São Tomé, São Tomé and Príncipe.
The species was published in Flore du Gabon in 1966.[2] The genus name is of Greek origin and literally means" narrow male eye", the genus name is where it was first founded, under the former Latin form of the island name.
It is a low plant with a purple flower and white leaves on its underside.[3]
