Stathmopoda skelloni is a species of moth in the Stathmopodidae family.[3] It was described by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1880.[2] It is endemic to New Zealand.[1]

The name skelloni was previously incorrectly used for S. horticola, a similar looking species which can be distinguished by the more extensive markings on the forewing of that species.[4]

S. skelloni is found in a variety of habitats including native forest, coastal dunes, shrubland as well as cultivated gardens and orchards.[4]
