Stanley Blumenfeld is a judge on the Los Angeles County Superior Court is an announced nominee to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Education
Blumenfeld received his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University, an Master of Arts in Spanish from New York University, and his Juris Doctor, Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Law Review.[1]
Legal career
Upon graduating law school Blumenfeld served as a law clerk to Judge Cynthia Holcomb Hall of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He was a partner at O'Melveny & Myers, where he served as Co-Chair of the Healthcare and Environmental Law practice groups, and was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California.[1]
State judicial career
Blumenfeld was appointed to be a Judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on June 20, 2006 to succeed John Sandoz. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in January of 2021.[2]
Teaching
He also teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California School of Law and teaches a course in Constitutional Criminal Procedure and Remedies.[1]

On October 10, 2018 President Trump announced his intent to nominate (name) to serve as a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the (name of court).
