Denomination Roman Catholic Church

The St. Joseph Church[1][2] is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the town of Edinburgh of the Seven Seas on the island of Tristan da Cunha,[3] one of those that make up the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha in the southern Atlantic Ocean.

The temple follows the Roman or Latin rite and is part of the jurisdiction of the Mission sui juris of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha (Missio sui iuris Sanctae Helenae, Ascensionis et Tristanensis).

This is one of 3 operating in that territory Catholic churches, the others being those located in Georgetown, in Ascension Island (Church of Our Lady of the Ascension) and Jamestown in the island of St. Helena (Church of Sacred heart).

It is considered one of the most remote in the world Catholic churches, because the island of Tristan da Cunha is very isolated from any other village site.[4]
