The St. Francis Xavier Church[1] is the name given to a religious building that is located in the town of Salalah,[2] in the west of the Sultanate of Oman,[3] south of the Arabian Peninsula.

The temple follows the Roman or Latin rite and depends on the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (Apostolicus Vicariatus Arabiae Meridionalis or النيابة الرسولية من جنوب الجزيرة العربية). Its history dates back to late 1979 when the priest Antonino Fortuna began construction of the building was completed in 1981 as a small chapel, this would be replaced in 1985 by a much larger church.[4] Subsequently, other structures linked to the temple, as the Parish Hall or center for catechism be added.
