Srikanth is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema. He debuted in the romance film Roja Kootam (2002) and went on to star in more such films including April Maadhathil (2002), Manasellam and Parthiban Kanavu (2003), before attempting action roles in Joot and Bose (2004). In the following years, his films failed to achieve commercial success, which led him to venture into the Telugu and Malayalam film industries. He also did small role in K.Balachanders tele serial in Jannal.[4][5]

Personal life

Srikanth married Vandana in November 2007, a Telugu girl who completed MBA in Australia. The couple has two children: a son [6] and a daughter. (born January 28, 2011).[7][8][9]

Career

Srikanth debuted in Sasi's romantic film Roja Kootam, which was a commercial success.[10] Srikanth then featured in another successful venture April Madhathil alongside Sneha. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actor for his role in Parthiban Kanavu, directed by Karu Pazhaniappan. His first released in 2004 is Bose which he paired with Sneha second time after successful venture April Maadhathil.

Srikanth's Straight Telugu film is Okariki Okaru was released in 2003 had got highly positive review and declared a commercial success. But Srikanth Introduced as Sriram due to one more Hero Meka Srikanth already present in tollywood. His only release in 2008 is Poo was directed by Sasi. His next release was Police Police. In 2011 Sadhurangam was released to mixed reviews. The film was completed in 2006 but the film remained unreleased for five years. The project was released on 7 October 2011. In 2012, he was first seen in S. Shankar's comedy-drama Nanban, which featured him as part of an all-star cast including Vijay, Jiiva and Ileana D'Cruz, and released to highly positive reviews. He also started doing Malayalam films in the 2010s, starring in Uppukandam Brothers Back in Action (2011) and Hero.
