Splash News is a Los Angeles-based entertainment news and photography agency. The company provides candid celebrity photography and video content to the world's premiere entertainment print, online and broadcast media outlets and have been dubbed world paparazzi leaders.[1]

Founded in 1990, Splash News has a global network of contributors and has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Milan, Berlin and Sydney.[2]

2011-2016

2018

  • In June 2018 Rcapital backed the management buy-out of Splash. The new management team of John Churchill, CEO, Danny Hayward, Director of Global Content and Simon Bridger, Global Digital Solution Director, are working in partnership with the Rcapital team to invest and develop the business. The growth strategy will focus on the US, UK, Australia and Germany where the agency already has an established footprint.[4]

Business

Splash News has been credited with announcing some of the world's most memorable and controversial celebrity news stories. These include the first images of Michael Jackson's first child, Tiger Woods' mistress, Sandra Bullock's first public appearance with her newly adopted son and Anna Nicola Smith's death in 2007.[5]

Most recently, Splash News was credited for the images of Meghan Markle, as a child posing outside Buckingham Palace after the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry.
