Spirit Young Performers Company

Spirit Young Performers Company is a performing arts school based in London, most notable for producing original musical numbers and releasing them online to YouTube to millions of online viewers. New performance videos are uploaded every week. The company was created in 2013 by Sophie Boyce and uses multi-camera crews to showcase its students performing.[1]

Among the students at Spirit Young Performers Company are young cast members from West End's Matilda the Musical, Billy Elliot the Musical and Les Miserables. The company has produced work with Olivier-Award-Winners Cleo Demetriou[2] and Kerry Ingram.,[3] as well as other notable young performers and child stars such as Lara Wollington, Adrianna Bertola, Sezen Djouma, Kerry Ingram and Chloe Hawthorn. Past students have gone on to take part in various West End shows such as, Matilda, The BFG and School of Rock.

Notable public performances by Spirit YPC include:

2014 the performers supported Andrea Bocelli as his children's choir at the 02 Arena.

2015 the company performed 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' from Mary Poppins on the ITV television show 'Keep it in the Family', which aired at 7pm on 22 August 2015.[4]

2016 the company performed a medley from Bring It On the Musical at West End Live in Trafalgar Square.[5]

2017 the company performed in 'Magic at the Musicals' at the Royal Albert Hall, which was also broadcast on Magic Radio.[6]

Other performances include the Royal National Theatre Gala, the Hackney Empire,[7] the Main Stage at Move It and more.
