The Spilopyrinae is a small subfamily of the leaf beetles, or Chrysomelidae. It was originally a tribe of Eumolpinae (as "Spilopyrini"), but was elevated to subfamily rank by Reid (2000).[2] Leaf beetles in this subfamily occur in Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia and Chile.[3]
