Spain has participated in the Eurovision Young Musicians seven times since its debut in 1988, most recently taking part in 2000. The country's best result is a second-place finish in 1992, the only time in which they qualified for the televised final.[1] Spain will return in 2018 after a 16-year absence, with the participant selected through La 2's series Clásicos y Reverentes.[2]
