South Coast College, located in Orange, California, is a college that prepares students for court reporting, paralegal, and medical assistant careers. South Coast College was formerly accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and received approval from Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education in the state of California.[1].

As of 2018 it is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education in the state of California for court reporting, paralegal and medical assistant [2]. The Court Reporting Program at South Coast College is approved by the National Court Reporters Association [3] .

South Coast College Career Training

South Coast College provides students with the training needed to begin a career in court reporting, paralegal, and medical assistant.

South Coast College was founded in 1961 in Long Beach, California, as a private college called Stenotype School of Long Beach. The School relocated to Westminster in 1974, and the corporate name was changed to Whitley College. In 1980, Orange County College of Court Reporting merged into Whitley College, and the name was changed to South Coast College. The School moved from Westminster to Anaheim in 1993. Then in 2001, South Coast College relocated to it current facility in the city of Orange.
