Souleymane Diabate (born 23 March 1991) was a professional footballer who last played for Long An F.C. in 2015.

The Malian was diagnosed with a heart disorder which impelled him to end his career and leave Long An F.C. in late 2015.[1] Contacted by Dong Thap F.C. to go to a medical test for a possible transfer, he passed but they still refused claiming that he 'still shows signs of cardiovascular disease'. He was seen as a foreign star and was a favorite among fans.[2]

Personal life

Via Facebook, he met Truc Linh. At first she was hesitant but after she got acquainted with him they fell in love, marrying in 2015.[3]
